Who We Are

Interior Consultants is an Orange County, California-based boutique interior design studio focusing on residential and commercial design projects. Our strength is understanding and collaborating with our clients to create spaces uniquely suited to their values, needs, and lifestyles. We believe that the best design concepts grow organically. The design studio’s successful completion of hundreds of projects is guided by principles of creativity, practicality, and problem-solving. From concept to completion, Interior Consultants is led by principal Rhonda Dunlevie and lead designer Christine Silva.

Rhonda Dunlevie

Founder, Creative Director and Visionary

Rhonda has had the opportunity to fulfill her passion for interiors, function, and form in hundreds of residences throughout Southern California. After graduating from design school, she spent years successfully collaborating with prominent homebuilders. Rhonda's familiarity with the construction process and building requirements is unique in the design world and is a great asset to clients during the design and construction process. Rhonda's integrity, attention to detail, and efficiency allow Interior Consultants to "get the job done" on both small-scale and complicated projects. In her downtime, Rhonda can be found building community in her neighborhood, walking her dog, and dreaming of opening a soup kitchen.

Christine Silva

Lead Designer

Christine is a creative whose love for art and design led her to leave life as an attorney to create exceptional spaces as an interior designer. The practicality and communication she used in her law practice enhance the design experience at Interior Consultants. Christine loves to explore the world, write, and experience the unexpected joys and pains of being a boy mom.

Elisabeth Van Houten

Business Manager

Elisabeth's detailed knowledge of design accounting and skilled project procurement take Interior Consultants' designs from concept to reality. Her organizational skills and ability to keep track of hundreds of details and multiple clients keep our projects moving toward completion. Elisabeth lives in New York, where she oversees family businesses and travels as much as possible.

Process

Our approach to interior design is based on collaboration. Design is ultimately about how you feel in the space and we work with you to bring your unique project to life. Although our projects each have their own vibe, we have found over 30 years in design that the following process gives us the framework to work most creatively and efficiently. Please note that our minimum project fee is $2500.

We use this information to determine your personal style and assess your design needs.

This includes a ‘Look and Feel’ digital presentation.

Deposit amount is based on the scope of work.

This is delivered approximately 2-3 weeks after the deposit is paid. Depending on the scope of work, more than one presentation meeting may be required.

Any desired changes to our initial design can be addressed in this phase.

This includes pricing and estimates for materials and some services not performed by the contractor.
