DID YOU KNOW? Large tax increases are on the table for wealthier Americans……how could this impact real estate markets? Tough to tell at this moment, although some proposed laws could directly impact real estate investment. Maybe not as impactful on people’s homes. Massive new capital gains taxes are of deep concern to me. If someone earned $2 million in 2018 paid 50% in total taxes, how will it impact them paying 53%…..on $2.2 million in 2021 if their income rises? At the end of the day, most people may focus more on what they net……and until tax day most people don’t fully fathom the impact of taxation……we shall see…..

Texas led the nation in lightning strikes in 2019, with 47,397,975 lightning strikes recorded. Oklahoma recorded 14,772,145 lightning strikes in 2019. The Top 5 cities with the highest lightning densities (out of cities with populations higher than 100,000) are not in Florida: #1 is Baton Rouge, LA, then Huntsville, AL, Shreveport, LA, Boise ID, and Abilene TX. DID YOU KNOW? Australian national home prices climbed 1.8% in April, after a 2.8% jump in March that had been the largest gain in 32 years. Prices were up 7.8% on last year, and 6.8% in just the three months to April. Sydney prices jumped 2.4% in April, while Melbourne added 1.3%, Brisbane 1.7% and Perth 0.8%. (CORELOGIC)
